Are you new to high security fencing? You’re probably overwhelmed by the number of options available on the market. Everyone’s needs vary drastically when it comes to security. Your business might need that little extra something to help you feel safe. Something like a K rating might confuse you–this kind of rating isn’t used for much else, so unless you’re familiar with it, you’ll need some help choosing the right fence for its rating. Luckily, Hercules High Security has all the possible solutions for your problems, and we can help you to understand exactly what you’re looking for.
What is a K rating, anyway?
The Department of State comes up with these, to make sure that a gate or fence is crash-tested. In other words, a K rating decides how fast a car can ram into the fence without it breaking. If a fence is K4 rated, a vehicle can impact it at up to 30mph. A K8 is for up to 40mph, a K12 for 50mph, and so-on. Each fence goes through extensive testing to come up with this rating–you don’t have to worry about a fence being advertised as more durable than it really is. Usually, though, this is considered an anti-terrorism barrier; what if you don’t need a fence quite that intense?
Anti-Ram Barriers
These are usually used when a facility needs to block certain vehicles from entering an area. They can be spaced specifically so that only a person can walk through them. Additionally, they can be designed so vehicles can exit, but not enter. They’re usually made of steel for extra protection. Some are even retractable, or included with another security method. These barriers aren’t exactly ideal to stop terrorists, but they are still extremely secure and are available in crash-tested models.
High-Security Link Fencing
Maybe you aren’t looking to protect a large facility. Maybe you’re just searching for high-security barriers to surround your home. In that case, Hercules High Security offers a collection of linked fences that come in crash tested models. Some of them are anti-climb fences, which make it impossible for intruders to jump them. And don’t forget the ever-popular chain-link fence, with anti-climb barbed wire at the top. While not crash-rated, it’s perfect for facilities that don’t need to worry about vehicles.
Regardless of your needs, Hercules High Security will have options. Even within these categories we have fences that can be customized to fit what you’re looking for. No facility is complete without a security measure, and it isn’t safe, either. Make sure you protect yourself with these options, so you can feel secure.
