Rolled bamboo fencing is made from poles that can be ¾” to 2” thick. Bamboo fencing looks exactly like the bamboo you would see on an island, so it’s great for homeowners in a beach environment or who want to decorate a pool fence. They can be easily added to existing chain link fencing by tying it to each rail or pole with 16 gauge wire. This decoration is a job for two, but won’t take more than an afternoon or two to install, depending on the length of your chain link fence. This decoration gives you about 85% privacy and is a moderate cost.
Mesh or Privacy Screen
Privacy screens are designed to be placed on chain link fences, so they offer a lot of durability for a low price. They are designed to let water and wind through without breaking, ripping, or suffering any damage. They can be installed easily with zip ties through the pre-installed grommets on the mesh. However, this option is not very attraction on its own. You can get about 80-95% privacy from this option, depending on the amount that you can invest into this decoration.
Fence Slats
Fence slats are very common in chain link fencing around local pools. They offer about 75% privacy, but typically are only slightly more attractive than privacy screens. They are also a relatively pricey option for an entire length of chain link fencing. On the upside, they are very durable and can easily last for decades with the proper amount of maintenance.
