Hercules Fence designed, fabricated, and installed an extremely complex perimeter security system surrounding the Albert V. Bryan Federal Courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia. This intricate project showcased our capability to manage high-security requirements while maintaining aesthetic integrity.
During the construction phase, Hercules Fence installed all temporary fencing, which included custom gates and windscreen to ensure security and privacy. The perimeter featured eleven custom K4-rated cable stay structures, along with eight hydraulic retractable bollards, each equipped with custom stainless steel covers. Additionally, the project required the installation of 160 K4-rated bollards, featuring two styles of custom covers, with integrated fence sections installed within each bollard.
This project demanded advanced engineering solutions, including benched foundations, custom rebar configurations, utility bridges, and finite element analysis (FEA) to address unique site conditions. All aluminum bollard covers and fence sections were meticulously designed, fabricated, powder-coated, and installed in-house by Hercules, ensuring a seamless and durable finish.
